The Game: How Baseball Overcame Segregation is the culmination of my Senior Seminar project at Washington University. We were asked to research a social issue that we were passionate about and design a book around the issue. I investigated the role that the integration of Major League Baseball had on the Civil Rights Movement in the United States.
The book is broken up in to 3 chapters explaining the history of segregation of baseball, then the story of Jackie Robinson, and then the political aftermath. The majority of the text was gained from Baseball's Great Experiment: Jackie Robinson and His Legacy by Jules Tygiel.
