Physio

Physio aims to aid the medical sector by providing a base platform where patients can continue their treatment from home. Using a HIPAA-complient user id, a patient can log into the app and browse a library of prescribed exercises for at-home completion by his or her physician. Each exercise includes an instructional video and is complimented by the recommended number of sets and repetitions, depending on the patient's progress in their recovery. This assistance seeks to improve patient recovery timeframes and patient adherence to at-home physical therapy programs.

In addition to aiding the patient in exercises, Physio allows patients to record and review health metrics relating to their recovery anywhere and anytime. Taking advantage of iOS Healthkit and Google Fit data, the app can connect with a user’s wearable to collect data such as heart rate, calories burned, weight and steps taken. This information is stored in a progress view where patients can compare the results against each other and is stored historically so that they can track their progress over the day, week, month and year. Patients can also report occurrences of pain by filling out pain reports, which are also recorded and visualized with the other health data. These reports can also be shared with their physician to help provide a more complete view of a patient’s progress.

Patients can also expedite their weekly clinic visits by completing medical questionnaires and progress reports from any place with their mobile device prior to their appointments. Altogether these features create a seamless experience and greatly ease the physical therapy process.

Physio

Physio seeks to improve patient recovery time frames and patient adherence to at-home physical therapy programs by tracking patient progress regardless of the wearable used. Patients can use the customized at-home exercise library that can be accessed anywhere with their mobile device, which also allows them to track and manage their pain levels in real time throughout their recovery process.

With this app, patients can also fill out medical questionnaires and progress reports from any place with their mobile device prior to their in-clinic appointments. As the patients use the app, the Physical Therapist will be able to track their progress by scanning through the detailed metrics view and exercises completed, and customize their recovery program based on their performance. Patient progress data can also be potentially used by Physical Therapists for health insurance purposes.
